《Step by Step 聽懂CNN-CNN名人專訪【繁】》

為免英文專業人士的不滿，我姑且給這本書四顆。像我一樣從小沒補過英文，沒上過英聽的平民們，也許從這本書得到滿多收獲。

不過，對我來說，光下面這篇就值五顆星。(我覺得有時候一本書有一句話，讓我受益很大，就值了。)

『Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore Senior Minister
Well, I would say first, don't try and seek popularity.
Popularity is an evanescent, fickle thing.
Gain respect. That's not easy to achieve, and if you gain it and you don't misbehave or squander it, it will last.
[In] the modern society, they take polls-straw polls-and they govern according to what the polls show-which way the wind is blowing.
I think that's a disaster. That's not leadership.

首先我會說，別想追求支持度。
支持度稍縱即逝、變化無常。
要贏得尊敬，這點並不容易做到。如果你得到尊敬，而且不胡作非為或濫用，它便能持久。
在現代社會中，會有民調，然後根據粗陋的民調結果來治國，也就是隨風轉舵。
我認為這是個災難，這不是領導統御。』
